Faster Healing Process
To speed up the healing of your tattoo, it’s essential to take proper care of it! Wash your tattoo every morning and evening in luke warm water. If it feels dry during the healing process, apply a thin layer of moisturizing ointment as needed – but always make sure to clean the area first! Do not use soap if you can avoid it!
It is crucial to clean your tattoo thoroughly to avoid inflammation or infection, as a tattoo is basically an open wound that requires proper treatment.
Scabbing typically occurs within a few days, and after 4–7 days, the tattoo is usually superficially healed, meaning the scabs have fallen off. Avoid picking at the scabs, as they are part of the healing process. Picking or scratching at them increases the risk of infection, scarring and slows healing. During the healing process, your skin may peel, which is normal.
Important Points to Remember!
You are responsible for ensuring your tattoo heals properly, so follow the advice given by your tattoo artist and DO NOT listen to eager friends who think they know better.
If needed, we offer touch-ups on your tattoo for a reduced rate within a period of two months.
Keep in mind before the tattoo is fully healed:
- Do not touch or scratch it!
- Avoid clothing or anything that might rub against the tattoo.
- No sun exposure, swimming, tanning beds, saunas, or exercise during the first week.
- Always wash your hands before touching your tattoo!
Once the tattoo has healed and you’re exposed to sunlight, always use high-factor sunscreen.
